The LeCompte family of Maryland is based in Dorchester County on Maryland's Eastern Shore.
Our family also originates from Cambridge, Maryland but to date I have been unable to connect them to the more established LeCompte genealogies for that area. In the early 1800s, it appears that our LeComptes moved from the Eastern Shore to Baltimore City, Maryland.
